Bundesdeutscher Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management (B.A.U.M.) e.V.

B.A.U.M. e.V. (German Environmental Management Association) was founded in 1984 as the business community’s first non-partisan environmental initiative group. With about 450 members, it is now the largest group of its type in Europe. B.A.U.M. supports its members with all business-related issues involving environmental protection and sustainable development while emphasising practically oriented services. The following are the main focal points of B.A.U.M.’s work:

• Raising awareness among companies, institutions, government and the public with respect to problems and opportunities related to environmental protection and issues of sustainable development.
• Increasing the use of and further developing the integrated system of preventive environmentally oriented management.
• Introducing methods and measures for environmentally conscious management and sustainable development.
  

As a result of its work, B.A.U.M. e.V. has earned a respected reputation and credibility and has received numerous national and international awards and distinctions.
